Salma Farès, Technical Research Chair, InterTalk™ Critical Information Systems
Salma Ait Farès received her M.A.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in Wireless Communications from the University of Quebec in 2002 and 2007 respectively. She received a postdoctoral fellowship from the Japanese Society, which she held at Tohoku University, Japan, from 2007 to 2009. During this time, she specialized in advanced algorithms for ad-hoc wireless communications. Salma worked as a research scientist between 2010 and 2012 at Ultra Maritime, Canada, where she focused on data analysis and modeling related to military data in collaboration with Atlantic Defence Research and Development, Canada. Salma Joined InterTalk in 2013 as a System Developer and was promoted to Senior Software Developer and currently holds the position of Technical Research Chair. During her tenure, she has made significant contributions to InterTalk console products for mission critical communications and was involved in several DSP projects and research initiatives. Her research interests include advanced signal processing, machine learning, data analysis, and cybersecurity as applied to critical communication systems.
