Brian Bittner is the Director of Emergency Management for Penn State University. In this role, Brian manages Emergency Management Coordinators, that provide services to all twenty-two Penn State University campuses. This includes emergency operations planning, business continuity planning, event planning and liaison work with emergency responders at the local, county, state, and federal level. Brian also manages the University’s Operations Center, which provides services to all campuses as well. Brian has served at Penn State for twenty-five years, all of which in University Police and Public Safety. For twenty-five years, Brian has served the University community both as a sworn officer and then as the Director of Emergency Management.
