Richard Bernhardt is the Senior Director, Spectrum and Industry for the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA). WISPA is the national trade organization for wireless and hybrid ISPs; and related suppliers with over 1000 members organizations consisting of Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs), municipal wireless internet providers, electric and telephone cooperative wireless Internet providers, equipment manufacturers, and service and professional services vendors. Mr. Bernhardt serves as CMO and on the Board of Directors WInnForum, a global spectrum standards development organization and is the lead representative for WISPA to the WInnForum. He serves as the co-chair of its Spectrum Sharing Committee (SSC) that directed the standards and specifications creation for CBRS. He also chairs WInnForum's SSC Operations working group which covers bests practices for CPIs, CAs, Co-Existence, and many other CBRS technical areas. Additionally, Mr. Bernhardt is the co-chair of the FCC rules directed 6 GHz multi-stakeholder group (MSG) and he serves on numerous industry panels including chairing the Fixed Wireless Access group for OnGo Alliance. He has served in leadership roles in the networking, wireless and telecom industry for over 25 years. Mr. Bernhardt holds a B.A. in communications from the University of California, Davis and a J.D. from California Western School of Law in San Diego, CA.
