In today's data-driven world, a dangerous disconnect exists between the critical safety information generated by modern technology and the first responders who need it most. We call this the Safety Gap - when critical information is unknown to 911 and field responders -, and it's leaving many enterprises vulnerable to disaster. Instead of information silos, companies need to harness the collective power of these digital safety tools. Linking them all together in one emergency ecosystem, 911 operators and first responders are able to use intelligence gleaned to better mitigate disaster.
This session will explore the hidden dangers of this safety gap, why people assume "the system works," and how we can better leverage available data to enhance emergency response, protect the vulnerable, and ultimately save lives.
