Not long ago, 911 centers depended largely on voice communications from the public to enhance situational awareness to internal capabilities. Today, the data sources for many 911 centers have mushroomed in numbers, thanks to access to myriad databases, cloud applications, IoT sensor data and video from the ever-increasing ecosystem of fixed and mobile cameras. Harnessing all of this data promises to save lives and property, but how should all of these new information streams be processed, so 911 personnel are not overwhelmed and responders quickly get access to the intelligence that is most relevant to them? From analytics to shared resources, panelist will examine best practices in use today and discuss future possibilities.
