It has long been thought that the key to interoperability is standards. The question then becomes how do you know if a product or service that you are procuring is conformant to those standards. NIST and DHS have both recently engaged in efforts to provide platforms to provide independent standards conformance in the areas of NG911 and MCPTT. This session will talk about conformance testing in industry and public safety, how it is done, what it costs and what it covers. It will also discuss how the testers are certified.
