P25 remains critically important to public safety users. With over 2800 systems on the air and 37 State-wide Networks, its continued evolution with new standards, capabilities, and applications will be relevant, even as FirstNet and other public safety broadband networks roll out. In this workshop, hear how P25 is adapting and interworking to meet the changing technology marketplace from a highly qualified panel of P25 users, consultants, and engineers. Review P25 technology, P25 standards updates, and priorities going forward. Examine LMR interworking with LTE and Mission-Critical PTT. Explore P25 Inter-System Interface (ISSI) capabilities and best practices for interoperability through roaming and sharing region-wide, and state-wide. Strong interest in Communications Security and Encryption is growing. Review improved Security and Encryption capabilities including a new P25 Link Layer Encryption standard, and improved Key Management Interoperability for AES encryption. Lastly, see what's new for P25 products in 2021 including a broad group of Testing products and services for P25.
