California has been live with Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1) since November 2021. The successful deployment has provided the reference system needed for the NENA i3 standard with 911 calls being routed from ingress to delivery at the PSAP using a secure NENA i3 solution provided by Atos, Lumen, NGA 911 and Synergem. During this discussion, Cal OES will share how this network is being used as the catalyst to integrate data and emerging technologies into the PSAP. The discussion will include an overview of the Emergency Services IP Network (ESInet), integration of SDWAN, robust data delivery over LTE, and in the integration of satellite based communications. A thorough discussion of how the ESInet and NG 9-1-1 core service solution is being leveraged to deliver supplemental data, facilitate data integration, and provide a secure, reliable means to share data.
1. Overview of the NENA i3 NG 9-1-1 solution in California
2. Understanding of how the ESInet has integrated SDWAN, LTE, FIBER, Microwave, and satellite back haul.
3. Understand of how the ESInet and NG 9-1-1 core service solution is supporting data integration and data sharing.
