As Project 25 and other LMR technologies have evolved over the last 30 years, testing technology has kept pace with a broad array of new testing products, services, labs, and compliance assessment programs. These solutions now offer users assured reliability for Critical Infrastructure and guidance for equipment procurement, application, and maintenance. This benefits those who serve with peace of mind that their system will be ready when needed.

First, an experienced Public Safety Consultant shares an overview of recommended testing during procurement, deployment and ongoing maintenance stages for P25 Systems. Then, new technologies for Subscriber Radio testing automatically, "Over the Air", and "Network linked" software-based solutions for P25 Inter-System (ISSI) and Console (CSSI) testing will be shown.

In addition, the unique requirements for "In Building" Coverage test solutions will be explained. Then learn about the latest P25 capable test equipment for service shops, field analysis, and laboratory testing with Software based auto test capabilities.

An update on testing through the DHS Compliance Assessment Program (CAP) including definitions for performance, conformance and interoperability testing will be offered. Laboratory and field testing services available through Independent Testing Laboratories for P25, CAP, FCC and NTIA testing will be described.

Takeaway

• What new over the air and virtual network linked P25 test solutions are replacing traditional fixed lab test with direct plug requirements?
• How can testing improve the specification, design and acceptance of new systems or system upgrades.?
• How can testing assure reliability, coverage and performance through maintenance of existing systems?
• What is the latest update on the DHS Compliance Assessment Program (CAP) and how can these test results be accessed?
