Through recent innovations in technology, drones have become a very popular and useful tool for public safety agencies. From Situational Awareness, to Search and Rescue, drones are being used by every discipline in Public safety to make the job easier and efficient. In this presentation we will discuss the wide variety of uses of drones in public safety, including news articles, pictures, and videos of recent incidents where drones were critically important. We will also discuss the process of registering and becoming a FAA certified drone pilot, and the regulations that must be followed in creating a public safety drone program. We will also discuss the newly available drone technologies that are being implemented to help make first responders jobs safer each day.
