Todays converged devices offer ways to extend the coverage footprint of traditional Utility Land Mobile Radio (LMR) operation. In this session, Don will detail the radio frequency coverage advantages Utility workers will have by utilizing converged devices. As background, Don will give a brief overview of LMR and LTE operation and then dive into the pros and cons of the various LTE network options available for Utility companies. He will then use that information to assist Utilities on how to decide which option would best suit them. Finally, Don will provide an overview of Mission Critical Push To Talk (MCPTT) and the safety and real world benefits that using MCPTT afford the Utility market.
