Mission Critical Voice, Data and Video services are being introduced to the broadband services networks. These services are available within service providers networks today and this panel discusses efforts to enable these services to be offered between networks. An important part of this service is the inclusion of device-to-device capabilities for communications support when there is no network available. This 3GPP standard service is referred to as Sidelink. This panel made up of experts will discuss spectrum issues, that status of communications chip support, research EU collaboration and certification. It will also discuss DoD efforts to accelerate Sidelink. The panel will discuss additional benefits of Sidelink such as precise navigation and timing. The panel will also discuss network to network interoperability in the EU, US EU collaboration and the International MCX plugtest held at Texas A&M University in Feb of 2025.
