Electronic attack, illegal drones, interference, and jamming are no longer capabilities reserved for state-sponsored, near-peer adversaries. The proliferation of jammers on auction websites has lowered the price of entry for electronics hobbyist and nefarious actors. To enable the T&M community, local authorities, and enforcement agencies to keep up with these challenges, this presentation presents some best practices to locate interference, in addition to providing recommendations to train and equip new technicians. Using high quality commercial equipment readily available on the market, organizations can field interference hunting specialists in a fraction of the time it takes to train a typical RF technician or engineer.
